Also, we updated the character profiles a bit. We made a few changes to some of the characters within the past few months, so we updated their profiles a bit.


--What is "AU?"--

Hello! Welcome to and 's joint account for their ongoing project, Age of Udyvia, also known as AU for short. Here you'll mostly see art from the story, and *maybe* a few glimpses into the story itself.

AU is short for The Age of Udyvia-- our original story. Although we tried to keep our story and characters as original as possible, we can also say that we were heavily inspired by many sources. We'd have to say our most significant inspirations were Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and Romeo x Juliet, although we gathered inspiration from countless animes, movies, and even songs along the way. There's so many sources of inspiration it would probably be impossible to list them all, but keep in mind that this is an original work.

AU has been in the works since September 2007 and since then our story has, to say the least, grown and flourished beyond our wildest dreams. Our original cast of characters has grown from six to well over 40, and the stories and histories involving all of them are too numerous to even count. We thank those of you who have been there for us from the start, and those who have only recently become interested, because it means so much to us that you have.


--The Setting--

The story takes place on a Middle-Earth-esque world called Udyvia which parallels Renaissance Europe. All of Udyvia's natural events are said to be governed by a magical crystal, whose magic is given to the Elves and human priests. Elves and humans coexist, although their relationship with each other is shaky at best. Udyvia is divided into four main kingdoms; our story in question takes place in the northern kingdom of Syaral in which our six heroes are brought together.



--The Characters--

These are the six main characters, but more bios will be added as time passes.

Stephen
Full name: Stephen de Beaumont
Age: 24
Stephen is a hardened, self-centered man who was made that way from a life of rigorous training under the great ex-warrior Aiden. Stephen had always been referred to as "Boy" or "The Boy" by his trainer, thus never learning his name or the truth about his family. As an adult, he lived as an outlaw for several years until he was promised that if he worked for the palace, he would at long last know the truth about who he was and where he came from. However, when Stephen is hired as a guard for the princess, the destination he hopes to reach may very well change.

Kye
Full name: Kinborow Carlynda de Clare
Age 18
Kye is the princess of Syaral who was born and raised in comfort, given everything her heart could ever desire. Her ability to charm men has always been attributed to her kindhearted (though spoiled and sometimes fiery) personality and sublime beauty. There is something about Kye beyond the human eye which is said to unleash a mighty power, and as a result Kye has become the prize that may fall into the wrong hands.

Kevin / Kev
Full name: Kevin Stewart Achard
Age: 21
Although Kevin had been told throughout his life that he is Kye's cousin and second in line for the throne, Kevin's unexplained powers state otherwise. Not only does Kevin have impeccable skills in archery and distinctively pointed ears, but he has the inexplicable power of immortality and immunity to illness and injury. However, the question of Kevin's identity is only the least of his worries.

Phillip / Phil
Full name: Phillip Phoebus d'Ansleville Darell de Bellièvre Calmesnil Guildersleeve Le Paulmier Levasseur
Age: 23
Phillip is the man behind both church and state as a priest of the crystal and the royal advisor. Despite being a ladies' man and a preoccupation with his looks and high social status, Phillip remains married to his work and attached to no one but his messenger pet Mercury. Although he is intelligent beyond his years and is the only person who knows why Stephen was brought to the palace, there is an aspect to a different person he has yet to discover.

Kate
Full name: Kate Valora L'Ile
Age: 18
Kate was pulled from a destroyed village into the palace to become Kye's lady in waiting. However, the village was not all in Kate's life that had been damaged, and the effects of Kate's loss is beginning to damage others along the line. The one thing Kate needs most is a means to heal her deepest wound, which she is unaware that she even has.

Jen
Full name: Jen Cailean Rosai
Age: 18
Jen is Kate's friend who was rescued from the ruins of the dying village to work alongside the ones she cares about most. Upon her surprising discoveries about the one she works for, she takes a second leap of faith in the name of her most powerful emotion, and hopes that someone is there to catch her.
